The four UK Regions

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, also referred to as the United Kingdom, the UK or Britain, is a country made up of 4 home nations: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. There are approximately 60.2 million people living in the UK with around 8 million in the capital of London alone.

The UK climate is changeable, with rainfall all year round and the seasons are quite variable in temperature, ranging from -15 °C in winter to around 34 °C in the height of the summer.

Whilst the UK does not have an official language, the spoken language is English. English is the most popular and widely-used language in the world, with as many as one in five people in the world being able to speak English to some degree. In business, English is the predominant language and worldwide is taught more than any other as a second language.
